At Lanky Spanners Bike Mechanics, we offer a wide range of professional bike repair and maintenance services for cyclists of all levels. We take pride in our quality workmanship and attention to detail, ensuring that your bike is functioning at its best.
Parts are not included in servicing costs, but you will always be contacted for you to agree that you are happy for me to carry out the work on your bike so that you're not left with an unexpected bill when you come to collect your steed.
Basic Bike Check Over
£25
Bike Checks are sometimes necessary when its been flown around the world for events or stored over winter.
We will do a basic check over of the bike to ensure tyres are at the correct pressure, all bolts are torqued to the correct spec, and everything is running as it should be.
This doesn't include any labour charges, it is aimed at just checking over the bike.
Full Service
£120
This service is the cream of the crop.
It involves everything that the Introduction Service includes, however the frame is stripped down and cleaned along with all components. Wheels are trued, bottom bracket and wheel hub bearings are inspected and replaced if worn, headset bearings are stripped, cleaned and replaced if necessary.
£20 extra for both brakes to be bled
All labour costs are included unless specialist equipment is required, however, this will be at discounted rate and you will always be called before commencing such work.
Introduction Service
from £60
This service is aimed at those bikes that aren't carrying major issues where we will degrease your drivetrain, while checking for wear and replace where necessary, check over cables to ensure they are running as they should be and make sure your brake pads are going to get you through till your next service. We also do everything that is in the Basic Check Over, as well as check your wheels for true.
Additional labour costs may be added but we will always phone to confirm and discuss any work needed to be carried out.
Race Ready Check
£45
The race ready check is based on a multi point check ensuring your bike is ticking all the criteria and running as it should be for any events you have coming up, very popular among Ironman atheletes.

Guitar Work Undertaken
